This position is responsible for administering EEG's in a safe, timely, accurate and efficient manner. The overall result is the production of high quality EEG's which assist physicians in the diagnosing and treating patient conditions. This position reports directly to the supervisor of EEG. In addition, the incumbent must be able to interact effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, the public and other members of the staff. The incumbent must be able to handle critically ill or difficult patients under stressful circumstances. The ability to perform difficult and/or unusual recording procedures including ECS tracings. This requires a sensitive, caring and professional attitude when dealing with a patients, family, physicians and staff. This position requires the incumbent to exercise courtesy, tact and confidentiality when dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Good communication skills are also required maintaining a friendly and professional attitude. Care should be taken as to appearance and cleanliness.

Must have on the job training skills pertinent to EEG, or have graduated from an accredited EEG training program. An understanding of basic electronics, EEG patterns and principles of electronic instrumentation is also required. Current CPR certification is required.
