Description
To manage and grow Sales in Russia by setting annual clear targets and make sure these targets are met and if it occurs replace non performing Sales Representatives and or Distributors and Agents. To lead and further develop a Sales organisation that focuses on sales of the total Boart Longyear product portfolio in the designated country. Prepare and report on the agreed budgets according BL requirements and processes.
Duties:
- Makes the Sales team to sell Capital and Consumable tools to the Mining and Construction industries.
- Sells within the geographically defined area.
- Responsible for developing the sales forecast per customer, for top 80% of sales volume, by products.
- Appointing, training and developing the Sales Rep’s Distributors and Agents in his territory Sets sales targets and takes corrective actions, if required in cooperation with the Sales Director Europe.
- Optimises sales & G.M. in designated geographical areas.
- Sets sales target with the Director Sales.
- In time reporting on required processes, issues, financials.
- Maintains in contact with other areas regarding business issues (e.g. global customers, pricing etc.).
- Manage personnel with the provided tools, development plans (PDM), and responsible for hiring&firing.
- Environmental, Safety, and Health responsibility working together with Director EHS.
- Conduct business in accordance with our policies and guidelines (Golden Rules, Good Citizenship)
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications:
Technical or Mechanical Education (Mining Engineer or Construction Engineer).
MBA and or a Marketing and Sales qualification.
Professional Background:
-Some years of demonstrated successful commercial experience in the field of technical Sales and/or capital goods in the BtoB market.
-Experience in selecting and working with Distributors and Agents.
-Experience in leading a Russian wide geographical spread team.
Computer Skills:
-Experience from most common programs ( Microsoft’s program range) and preferably an ERP system.
Languages:
-Russian and English, fluent in writing and speaking.
Other Skills:
-Trouble shooter with analysis skills and able to implement change.
-Setting the right priorities.
-Able to generate quick wins in the light of the longer term goals
Personal Qualifications:
-Ability to motivate and build a team, set targets and follow up with the required tenacity.
-Ability to work under stress but still meeting the dead lines.
-Excellent communicator and negotiator.
-Ability to establish and maintain personal and business relations.
Remarks:
Traveling is required to meet Customers, Competition and the BL Sales Force.
