Description
We are a Distance Learning organization partnering with firms in the financial services sector providing turn-key coaching solutions to individuals learning how to invest in the markets.
In this role you will:
- Modify existing databases and database management systems and make necessary changes.
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems such as the installation of new databases for new partner clients.
- Monitor web developments through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
- Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
In this role you will:

Qualifications
Strongly Recommended Education/Experience:
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in Enterprise class IT organizations.
- Experience working with large OOP-based PHP applications.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation principles.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration, especially open SUSE Linux.
- MySQL, PostgreSQL development, MS SQL Server (At least experience in one of these, all preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer related field.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Vendor certifications
- AJAX
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
- MS Exchange, Windows Active Directory, Windows Server 2000 and 2003, SUSE Linux 10.2, Windows Networking.
- Windows Desktop Operating Systems
- .Net
